Charlie is a strategic and resonant leader with over 30 years of industry and management experience at start-ups, large corporations, and joint ventures. Prior to becoming Mixpo President and CEO, Charlie served on the Mixpo Board of Directors for two years. He was also the CEO of Friend MTS, a UK based video content security company.
Charlie held management positions at MSNBC Interactive News (msnbc.com), the last eight as President and CEO of the former joint venture between Microsoft and NBC News. At MSNBC Interactive News, Charlie led the portfolio of news web properties to industry leading levels of profitability, audience reach, product innovation, and editorial excellence. As an organizational leader, he fostered the development of a high integrity company culture known for its transparency and respect for all employees.
Prior to MSNBC, Charlie led corporate development for Primary Health, Inc., a venture-backed health care company; served in a variety of management positions at Micron Technology, Inc.; and began his career in a start-up software company, Learned-Mahn, Inc., where he held sales and marketing positions.
A member of the Online Publishers Association for 11 years, Charlie served as Chairman from 2009 – 2011. Charlie holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Brown University.
Kyoo Kim brings more than 20 years of sales and general management experience in the media and digital space. As Chief Revenue Officer of Mixpo, he is excited about the opportunity to bring effective and efficient marketing solutions and technology to help both publishers and advertisers achieve their goals.
Most recently, he lead Global Product Marketing for Media & Packaging at AOL. Prior to AOL, he was the Global Sales Strategy Lead for MSN in Microsoft Advertising Corporate working with sales, marketing, product, and editorial to drive monetization. He also served as VP, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer at NBC News Interactive where he led the national ad sales and marketing team to successfully deliver innovative cross-platform solutions for more than 12 years. He served as Site General Manager and Director of Sales for the Seattle office of Belo Interactive after being one of the top producers in broadcast sales for the local Seattle NBC TV affiliate. He started his career on the agency side doing media and PR. Kyoo (pronounced just like the letter "Q") is a graduate of the University of Washington and lives in Seattle with his wife and two kids.
Justin Kistner has been a leader in digital and social marketing strategy for over ten years. Before joining Mixpo, he was leading product for Spruce Media, a Facebook sPMD media buying company. Justin also spent 3 years at Webtrends pioneering social analytics for Facebook campaigns delivering many industry firsts, including a patent-pending content scoring algorithm.
David is empowering our publisher and ad network partners to capture additional revenue every day with Mixpo's technology. His combined experience in both traditional broadcasting and digital sales management makes him uniquely able to understand publisher objectives and challenges. He has held sales leadership roles with CBS and FOX television stations.
Erik oversees the corporate finance, accounting, legal and human resource functions at Mixpo. Erik brings over 14 years of finance and operational experience to the company. Prior to joining Mixpo, Erik held senior level finance positions at several high growth technology companies, most recently at Saflink, a publicly traded biometric security software firm. Erik holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Washington University in Accounting.
Lauren Sarnak leads the Client Success team at Mixpo where she focuses on bringing the human touch to Mixpo’s platform. Lauren has nearly 10 years of experience in client facing roles spanning media planning, ad operations, campaign management and account management. Prior to Mixpo she worked at global media agencies MediaVest and MindShare consulting for Fortune 100 companies. Lauren is a graduate of the University of Kansas and lives in Seattle with her husband and son.

Matt McIlwain focuses on a broad range of software-driven companies for Madrona. He currently serves on the boards of Farecast, iConclude, Isilon Systems, PayScale, Vykor, World Wide Packets and now Mixpo. He was on the boards of Performant (acquired by Mercury Interactive) and Nimble (acquired by Actuate) and was actively involved with TeamOn Systems (acquired by Research in Motion). Previously, he was Vice President of Business Process for the Genuine Parts Company (NYSE:GPC), a Fortune 250 company. He also was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, concentrating on strategy and marketing in the telecom, supply chain and financial service industries, and worked in investment banking at CS First Boston. Mr. McIlwain is a Technology Advisor to the Discovery Institute, a board member of Villa Academy, and advisory board member for Families Northwest. He and Greg Gottesman teach an annual course on venture capital in the University of Washington Executive MBA Program. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College, holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.
Joining Mixpo as President and CEO in 2015, and previously serving on the Mixpo Board of Directors, Charlie Tillinghast has over 30 years of notable executive impact in start-ups, large corporations, and joint ventures. Charlie held management positions at MSNBC Interactive News LLC, the last eight as President and CEO of the former joint venture between Microsoft and NBC News. A member of the Online Publishers Association (Digital Content Next) for 11 years, Charlie served as Chairman. Charlie has an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BA from Brown University.
Joe Timlin joined GrowthWorks Capital in 2002 focusing on software and information technology investments. Prior to joining GrowthWorks Capital, he worked for four years with BDC's Venture Capital Group focusing on information technology and alternative energy investments. Joe has experience in technical sales and sales management, and has worked as a construction engineer. Joe has a BSc in Civil Engineering from Queen's University and a MBA from UBC. Joe is currently on the Board of Directors of Bycast, Layer-7 Technologies, Make Technologies, ResponseTek Networks, Sutus, Teradici, and QuIC Financial Technologies.
Maggie Finch is a digital media executive and entrepreneur who has spent the bulk of her career building digital marketing firms and technologies. She began her career in traditional media but by the early 1990s turned her attention to digital media, executing some of the first online marketing campaigns. Finch served in various executive roles including vice president of media for aQuantive for nearly a decade, where she established the firm as one of the world’s leading ad tech companies.
After aQuantive’s acquisition by Microsoft in 2007 for $6 Billion, Finch became general manager of Microsoft’s Publisher Solutions Team. Recently, she ran her own start-up, King of the Web, which racked up millions of viewers every month. Most recently, Finch was founder and CEO of recently-sold, Creator Republic, a YouTube network. Aside from her own endeavors, Finch advises several start-ups and remains focused on helping digital companies develop winning products, strategies, brands and teams.
