Steve Hnatiuk
Yaletown Venture PartnersSteve co-founded Yaletown Venture Partners in 2001 and has more than 15 years experience financing and working with entrepreneurial technology teams. Yaletown is an early-stage venture capital fund based in Vancouver and backed by leading institutional investors in Canada and the United States. Steve leads Yaletown's current investments in GenoLogics & Mixpo, and is actively involved in Zeugma Systems, NxtGen Emission Controls, and Cogent Health Solutions. He was on the founding board of ActiveState Corp. prior to its acquisition by Sophos. Previously, he established and built TD Bank’s technology financing business on the west coast of Canada, and was Director of the Technology & Communications industry group of PricewaterhouseCoopers. He began his career as a software engineer with Accenture concentrating on energy industry workflow management. Steve is currently a director of Canadian Venture Capital Association, Vancouver Enterprise Forum, Wireless Innovation Network of BC, Pacific Parklands Foundation and is on the editorial board of Business in Vancouver newspaper. He is a graduate of the University of British Columbia and British Columbia Institute of Technology magna cum laude.
